Ji-kai Wen is a professor in the Faculty of Life Sciences at SCAU (South China Agricultural University). He received his master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Birmingham, U.K. Professor Ji-kai Wen has long been engaged in research on the expression and purification of proteins, protein-protein interactions, mRNA metabolism and related areas, and at present focuses mainly on Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and influenza virus host-pathogen interactions at the protein and cellular level. He has published 16 SCI papers in journals such as EMBO J, and Nature Structure & Molecular Biology.
